2.0 PD Diesel Loss of power - help

Featured Replies

Hi all, finally brought a skoda. Octavia 2.0 tdi estate, 140k miles on clock 55 plate. Nice clean car witj good body work and owned this for only 1 week.

First real drive today, after about 20 miles of driving on the motor way had loss of power. When accelerating it would rev very slowly, happened in every gear, probably 0-60 20 seconds. Then I arrived at my destination, drove the car back an hour later and all was fine.

Any ideas anyone?

No warning lights on dash, 55 plate and I believe it does not a DPF.

Sounds like the engine is going into limp mode, is the engine pre PD? Some turbos suffered with 'sticking vanes' VNT.

I would agree. You need to get the codes read by VCDS or similar, this will point you in the right direction. Then do a search on the forum for 'Turbo cleaning'
