Help - I just cant make up my mind what to get next for my VRS.

Got a couple of hundred pounds to go and blow this weekend and dont know whether I should get:

A) New speakers all round to compliment my sub

OR

B) Dynatist induction kit (Which would technically invalidate the warrenty on my 4 week old car, but I can keep the old air box and put it back if something breaks)

OR

C) Something else (suggestions)

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure !!!!

Hi Simon,

I would go for the stereo upgrade first.

Having a Dynatwist myself I can thouroughly recommend it but I'd wait until the engines loosened off some more, assuming you haven't done 10k miles already.

Cheers.

Adrian.

10k!!!!!!!! ER, no just about to hit 1K. please dont tell me I should wait that long before I can play with my engine.

By the way, how many Miles do Jabba recomend before re-mapping?

Cheers

SI

at least 7k IIRC. Lend it to me and you should be elligable in about 4-5 weeks :D

Dump valve and some speakers if it was my choice

Jon

What about the exhaust - or would that be a warranty issue too? Lowering by 50mm?

I think Mike likes a few miles on the clock but definately more than 1k. Best to give him a buzz to confirm.

Engine not really loosened off by 1k and it definately get's better with miles, performance and economy wise.

Mine didn't feel truly run in/loosened off until 10k. Remapped at 16k. Done almost 18k now and with the CAI it's feeling really good.:D

Got the car new in Sept last year so I've done a lot of miles but not as much as Jon.

Cheers.

Adrian.

I think I'm going to have to book myself on a few more business trips then.

At least that gives me a few months to concentrate on "improving" other areas of the car'

Bit dissapointing though. I want more power and I want it NOW!

Oh and both the exhaust and lowering are on the list somewhere as well. Its just trying to decide on the order to put things on. Rather get the non warrenty disabling bits on first. Give my motor a little more time for a problem to show.

Getting 18's in march. Will a 50mm drop be O.K with these?

Must get a DV - still not sure which one ...

" A bit disappointing....."

...yeah, you know what is achieveable and know where to get it done but you have to wait.:D

I was the same. When we were all over at Vortex I really wanted to get the car APR-ed then when we moved across here I wanted it REVO-ed.

Finally when I could afford it we also had a bit more experience of Jabba and so more info on REVO/APR. Jabba are really the best option....for me anyway. So I'm glad I waited.

Second Jon's suggestion about getting the DV; all around

mine was remaped at 89 miles.. many are done by dealers at 0.....

50mm drop?

Better budget on getting the arches rolled :D

Well 50mm is a bit over ambitios and would probably destroy the ride. 35mm is more realistic but again would that be O.K with 18" Rims ?

50mm drop and 18's is no prob but go for 215-35s no wider on 7.5 inch rims.

Sounds like your're speaking from experience Ffelan. Whats the ride like with that at that depth. Living in Bucks the roads are a little bit like downtown Bagdad (Except less street lights).

Dont want to give myself any permanent spinal damage from a little sunday afternoon spin!
