  • I see NE14ABJ is coming up for sale for £400.... That will be worth a fortune surely?! I was thinking about a plate in the old prefix style, as the whole point for me seems to be about disguising the

  • As above. If you an, buy from DVLA and avoid brokers. If you want a specific 14 plate, they are released before the change over date but not sure how much before. 3 months?

  • Wow that’s inflation for you .... I thought it was about £20 for ABJ ?

ZO 14 LEX??

Ooooh, I like that one.

You can't have a Z prefix, more is the pity :(

Nor XE which rules out one idea I had.

Prior to the DVLA catching up with everyone else, they did release PEN 15, and there is M1 NGE and J11CCE as far as i have seen in articles over time. The last 2 were spotted driving beside each other in the correct arrangement on one of our glorious motorways.

having owned r19 vrs in the past, for my mk1 fabia vrs, got away with a black bolt between the 19, it didnt look right on my first octy vrs, so i let it go, when i got my latest fl mk2 vrs, i wanted something different, so hunted down the reg no that was the opposite to the one on my rs1600i escort show car, creates a lot of interest as people try to work out what it means, but the cars look good parked next to each other, the plate is now on retention ready for the new mk3 vrs when its eventually built

I hated the idea of a 63 plate so went for t222 vrs. Simple, only 250 (equivalent of ticking a box or two on the options list!) and will stay with the car... Got the plate made up with domed letters, plain boarder and slightly shorter height on the front - it also doesn't have skoda Ashford strapped underneath it....

Just bought 'er indoors a plate for Xmas, CE11 ECE which might not mean much to anyone, but if it's spaced as CE11E CE it sort of reads as the place where she was born, Celle (in Germany), and the prefix for that town's registration plates is CE. I think that should earn me some desperately needed brownie points! :)

BTW, I saved £136 by buying direct from the DVLA instead of using other 'cheap' brokers, rob dogs that they are!
