Alloy wheel re-paint

Featured Replies

Good Morning,

I'm looking to get my alloys painted Gunmetal Gray, however i'm not sure which company to go with!

Does anyone know of any good alloy wheel refurb/re-paint companys in the Cannock/Stafford area?

If there is a wheel specialist in your area they are very good (they are in Wolverhampton if that is not too far).  I had mine done by them in the gunmetal grey and they look great.  It is more than a repaint - their process is set out on their website:

They are quite pricey but in my case I asked for a quote and then said no, and then they contacted me by email offering quite a healthy discount.  I had all four done for a bit less than £300 which I was happy with.  They also supplied some really nice metal dustcaps which complement the wheels really well for nothing and did it all inside a single day with the wheels left on the car.

The Wheel Specialist are good, although they work on a franchise basis so there will be good and not so good ones I expect. I have used the Newcastle franchise a few times, most recently this week to put my winter tyres on and also to repair a slight flat spot / buckle on one wheel plus a refurb on it. All that cost £97 including £12 for tyre disposal which wasn't bad although that was discounted.

Thanks for the advice both of you.

They look really good, think I will give them a call tomorrow and I will have to figure out a way of getting back though! Train mabye ...

One more question, has anyone done Gunmetal gray alloys on a black Octy? If so, does it look good?

I like the effect on a Black octy which is what I have.  My profile pic isn't the best but may be gives you an idea?
