VW 1.7 million recall 7 speed DSG

Featured Replies

This post below might interest some that have had or are having DSG issues.

It is in Australia, which was at least part of the World where the World Wide Recall was done,

unlike in parts of the World not 'World Wide;

where Service Campaigns and Skoda Secret Service Campaign work might or might not have been done.

At my chiropractor last night and the receptionist said " i took my A4 in on monday" , and the bloody thing is not running right! The emmissions light came up and it went into limp mode,she had her a4 in for the update ecu for the 2.0 engine and they said " nothing to do with us " ( audi llandudno) , they where going to charge her for the dpf burn out, so whatever is done the system can not get rid of the soot as it used to do so potentially a lot of dead or blocked dpfs on the way i reckon, well its just made me even more sure not to let vw near mine !

The update may not affect the DPF regen process, that is carried out as the car is driven, if it only does short journeys then it won't regen properly

They never had issues previously ,concidence? There is mention of dpf issues after this patch is done and vehicles not running correctly, this patch will effect dpf surely if the cars fuel usage goes up ?

Please note this thread is about DSG gearboxes and not emissions related software updates.

Thanks
