Have you ever not modified you car?

Didn't do anything to the DS3 I had for 18 Months prior to the yet. Before that I didn't mod anything on the Dolomite Sprint I had in 1989, but I only had it for 3 Months. Otherwise I have always done bits and pieces to any car or bike I have owned.

I've just had my Freelander lifted by 40mm.

Me & my friends were discussing this the other day, Modifying cars is a disease that rots your brain and your wallet. I cant look at any car without thinking "I wonder how that would look with..." I even had the wheels on my company car painted black (Hats off to my manager who agreed to pay for it) My cousin fitted some new wheels to his car and then started fiddling with a few other bits and my friend came up with an accurate statement

I've altered something on every vehicle I've owned except an elderly Escort van which took all my efforts just to keep it going. Currently I've got an ever-growing list of things to do to my MkII. New screwless number plates have been glued on, raised boot floor fitted, proper spare wheel and tools installed, sound absorbing stuff to reduce drumming stuck around the boot area, all important bulbs upgraded, Parrot CK3000 fitted, dog guard fitted, upgraded battery about to go in. Still to do: paint the calipers, fit foglights, fit sill protectors, maybe change the wheels. On the wish list for later: reversing sensors, multi-function leather steering wheel, maxi-dot, cruise control, leather handbrake and gear shift. And there's some VCDS programming I'd like to do...

My audi, I fitted a beesting aerial to it but only because the oem one had rotted through the rubber and was held in place with duct tape. I also put a scuff in the paint on the front left wing (that was accidental modification) the day after I bought it

My first car was modified very slightly.  My second car stayed standard.  My third car was modified in several ways.  My current car is staying standard.

I modified my Raligh Grifter by putting lolly pop sticks in the wheels to make a noise.

Still at it 40 years later although I don't do lolly sticks any more. Lol!
