  • If you touch the nipple at the critical moment your hose will definitely pump more juice in :-)

You can if you put the nozzle sideways or upside down.

Sideways it was at a very tight stretch. Couldnt be bothered waiting for a pump on the drivers side.

Yes,

and i just put 55 litres in a vRS, no gloves or other protection required to get the 'G Spot', the little green button for venting can easily be reached with a normal sized digit,

the women waiting behind at the pump was looking at me oddly,

i think she spotted me taking the nozzle out and putting my finger in 3 times.

Dude are you running that 95 ron crap when the 99 ron is so cheap.?

1.33.9 compared to 1.35.99

Only £1.06 more per tank and would probably give an extra 20 miles.

Looks to me like he's running momentum, 135.9 is diesel in that picture?

Yes Sorry, just spotted my bad, .  1.33.7  or 1.33.9 here now as well.

Offended !

Agree with you though, for the slight difference in cost I can't understand why someone wouldn't use 99RON or above?

I have only ever used Momentum or Vpower nitro every so often and have certainly witnessed the difference in performance and Mpg between these two, 95 has touched my tank once when I was on fumes and had no choice and even then it was a tenner to get to a shell to tank with 102RON.

Sorry Binzie.

Cheapest 95 ron here now Asda @ 126.7

 & Sainsury Super Unleaded @ 131.7

Shell V Power Nitro 136.9

Was funny today I submitted receipt to work for petrol, the woman (bureaucrat) moaned again about buying momentum

"my car wont run on that **** yours does" didnt go down very well  :giggle:

The filler flap was being inspected at the time

Good past time that, looking at flaps.

I have a little bit of sick in my mouth now

think Jabba the hut, then take it back !

I'd imagine gaining access to the Jabba-flaps would be quite tricky...... ;-)

Are jabba flaps deemed as a mod ?

Are jabba flaps deemed as a mod ?

Guess it depends if you feel your ride sporting a pair of sticky Jabba-flaps is an improvement or not?

Jabbas input may be hindered by the additional weight

Put 53 (fifty-three !) littres in the Fabia 2 VRS yesterday !

It was down to 5 miles range and clearly had the vent nipple pressed down during filling (unintentionally this time).

Showed 490 miles range when moving off from the petrol station.  Did 260 mile yesterday and it is still showing about 220 miles left so fairly linear true to original computer prediction.

Brisk driving and looks o be about a actual 41 mpg with car showing about 43 mpg.  Pleased overall with all these aspects.

I think i've got 54 litres in before now with venting - and range at zero....

Makes me think about replacing the fabia vrs with a rapid spaceback rather than a octy3 rather than live with such a small tank.

3/8ths of a tank on the gauge when I pulled into Ashford Tesco yesterday afternoon and got 41 litres in with venting...but that's a deliberate ploy as my fuel card only works in the UK and I was driving to Germany so like to get as far as possible without filling it at my expense..

I have had to start wearing gloves at the petrol station because of this

I was gonna say make sure you are using protection… Don't wanna eand up with smelly stuff on your hands!

You've got to be careful when planning on delivering a huge (fuel) load from your hose. It's important that she (the car) swallows it all down and doesn't spit any back out at you! ;-)
