Would you rather....?

Featured Replies

Ok, so I think I've managed to convince the wife of the need for getting winter tyres for my octy II vrs, told her I was going to replace my eagle f1 assy 2's with winters and then pointed out it would be cheaper getting 16" tyres on steel rims rather than 18" tyres.

However, ideally I'd like to get her a spare set of alloys and winters for her mazda cx 5 AWD which would cost a fair bit more, prob about £1000 vs £500.

If you could only choose one to fit winter tyres to, bearing in mind cost, 2wd vs Awd etc, which option would you choose...?

If you live in a city the 2WD car if you live in the sticks and depend on your car the 4WD should get the tyres.

The 4WD. apparently a 2WD with winter tyres on has similar capabilities as a 4WD without so I'd put them on the 4WD.You can then use her car if the weather is really bad and leave the vRS at home if you need that capability, otherwise if you want both cars to have similar performance in the snow and ice just do the Octy.
