Tyre advice

Featured Replies

Michelin PS3 +1 as above.

Just bought 2 new fronts as well (3rd set over 2 cars)

B F Goodrich are a lovely all round (no pun intended) tyre, very quiet and run with a couple of extra psi in them in my opinion outlast most things,on my previous car I managed to get over 14,000 miles out of the fronts and took them off the car with over 3mm on them and sold them as part worns.

Anyone tried the Uniroyal Rainsport 3 yet? I have the Rainsport 2's on and they are pretty good but I don't drive with my brain out. I don't drive like miss daisy either though.

I'm just about to put a pair of Rainsport 3 on the front after a pothole put a bulge in the sidewall of the osf.  Have Rainsport 2s on at the moment and they were wearing very well after 8500 miles, certainly no more than half gone, but mostly motorway miles.  Grip levels on greasy roads with these were always surprising.  Hoping for more of the same and better feel from the 3s.

I was very happy with Falken 914s previously.

I was not very happy with Hifly HF805s the previous owner fitted on the back.  Going sideways is fun but not when you don't expect it...

i'd suggest having your tracking etc looked at. Thats is terrible mileage. I got more than double from a set of falken 914's on my vrs derv.

Fr0d - are you talking the efficient grip or efficient grip performance? Two completely different tyres

Oh, my bad - vanilla EfficientGrip.

I found Michelin PS3s pretty good, but they didn't last at all.

Goodyear AS2 are a better tyre.
