vRS! Post your under bonnet photos!

Featured Replies

Especially the area over the offside susension turret (the hoses and stuff)

If you can get some detailed photo's of these hoses, and IN PARTICULAR the electrical connection to this jumble of hoses, that would be ideal!

(I think I need THE same one off a vRS for my car ;))

They all should be numbered assuming you mean the vacuum hoses to the N75 and EGR valve block.

Yeah - Got a classic issue really - 3 plugs on my old arrangement with 3 plugs of 2 wires each on my old loom, new loom has one plug alone with SIX wires going in. Same number of wires, different way of them all working, which is why I think I need all the N75 / EGR pipework off the vRS, mainly to just re-enact with the one plug of 6 wires I now have.

PS: Anyone got a 100% legit version of Vag com they can lend me? :o I can't get above channel 10 on my version due to it being restricted.

You will need the vRS box and vacuum pipes, seem to remember mentioning this waaaaaaayy back before you started.

You've got a PM J

I know it's not legit :) but you can download the full version from Shareaza or Kazaa or one of the other P2P clients for nothing.

This is the only one I have, sorry if its no use :o

And I for one would like to say a big thank you to Ross-Tech for bothering to carry on producing VAG-COM. Why on earth do we need them when we can all just steal the software from someone else.

To all the guys at Ross-Tech - Take a holiday. Your work is done.

But IIRC the skoda one is quite old... and doesnt have the RS parts in it.

Apologies if my post caused offence to anybody. Nothing was intented, prehaps I should of sent a PM.

None taken... But I've worked in software... if you've ever written something which has then been nicked and as a result ended up making no money off it, you'll understand my comments.

Is this what you want Jason?

I've not been able to get the connector off to check whether all the blue/blacks are the same.

(ignore the ribbed cable in the foreground: that's mains in to my Hotstart)

Did you get them all ok Jason?? Should be 15 of them. How much are the parts new??

Gonna be getting it from Hills - I rang them and they said they'll get it all sorted for me on Monday - Much easier as it'll be the whole unit, and all the necessary hoses (which are the right length too ;))
