tyre size question

Featured Replies

Same old question im sure but I have a set of vauxhall wheels with some really good winter tyres onthey are 195-65 15s will these fit with out any touchy touchy issues? im not 100% sure of wheel offset vauxhall wheels 35 or 38 maybe, anybody know? thanks

A 65% profile is too big on a 15" tyre for a felicia, 50% is your practical limit on 15" before you start running into mechanical issues. Aside from that you would need spigot adaptors too.

I ran 195-50-15 on mine at standard height but was only just off the front spring cup to the point that I think 195-55-15 would have caught so in short nope

Ok thanks chaps.

A 195/45 profile tyre would give you a closer size match to the original rolling circumference on a 15" wheel.

i got 195 50 15 on front............. no issue

i got 195 55 15 on the back.... but had to fit 9.5 mm spacer as the tyre was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to close to brake pipe

only thing i am concerned about is that the front wheels seem to "track" sometimes..... as tho they are in a rut/groove .. only for a few seconds then all is normal again

it does not happen all the time, just very occassionally

i know both front tyres are very low and are being changed on friday plus tracking to be done....... thinking of putting 185`s on the front to see if it helps

Slxi conversion with rear disk

I'm on 13" Vauxhall wheels and they need a spacer front and back or they hit the tie rod and the handbrake cable. You might be able to get away with 5mm but I used 10mm.

Most vauxhall wheels have a 49mm offset. As your original idea was for winter tyres, anything in the wide, low profile category will defeat the object somewhat.
