i have a 2002 vrs fwd. Looking on vagcat.com it lists the same ling links fpr both fwd and 4x4 but looking at ebay they have different ones listed! Anybody know if they are the same?

You need this type & recommended is OEM or 'Lemforder' which are the same from what people have mentioned.

There are only 2 types of drop links.

 

1.ones that fit ARB to wishbone a much shorter drop link that has holes either end

2.ones that are longer and have threaded ends with ball joints 

 

You need item 2 , these are the 2 part numbers for left and right side

 

1J0411315D - left

1J0411316D - right

 

They are the same for the VRS and 1.8T 4x4 and also same Part number for Audi TT/S3 Golf R32 and Seat LCR.

 

The other type drop link (item 1) fits all the other Octy,Golf and Audi models not listed above

 

Ebay sellers are not always clued up so may quote incorrect ones and models sometimes
