Have a mkI vrs hatch, engine is a goodun, done 116k and runs really well, need an estate version so just bought a really clean 04 with 151k for £750.

 

Can I just swap the engines over? Is there any difference in fittings etc....? Also guess all interior bits swap too?

 

Was £750 for an 04 with 151k good or have I been ripped off? It runs perfect, and has a massive wad of history and receipts.

They should swap no problems. However if the estate runs good why swap? These engines can do good mileages

£750 is very cheap IMO

£750 is bargain Imho.But I don't see the point in swapping a 151k engine for a 116k engine.Theres vrs on ebay at the moment with 259k.
