Heated washer nozzles

Featured Replies

Hello,

As my car is an ex-demo, I am not sure if it has heated nozzles, and wondered how to find out other than asking supplying dealer. I think it was a cost option when car built late in 2012. Is it possible to see just by looking at the nozzles inside the bonnet?

Thanks

Lift open the bonnet and you should see some electrical wiring on the underside of the washer jets, which are for the heating.

Have a look on the white sticker in the service book / under boot carpet with all the codes on and see if 9T1 is on there.

That's as long as it was factory fitted.

Umm... Look at one of them?

Just get a flat ended screwdriver and gently pry

one out. If it had a wired plug on the underside then yes, it's heated.

My way doesn't involve getting dirty!!!

Thanks for replies. Didn't want to start pulling it apart, hence the initial question about what to look for. I'll check the codes tomorrow.

Thanks again

Edit:

I should have explained that I had already thought that the wrapped cable/tube going to the washers could have a thin wire underneath, but wasn't sure and didn't want to start pulling about. The code ident will confirm
