Does the bolero cause battery drain on the older can gateways?

No idea on the battery drain, I didn't have any issues with it on a pre facelift 09.

And yep, still open

Is the facia still going also will it fit the face lift mk2 octy

Fascia is still available yes, it will fit a FL that has a bolero and climatronic.
