My mate got a courtesy car and when giving it back they found damage on the bumper. He has been told they measure damage with an etool? What's an etool? Never heard of one?

I think they are referring to an online body repair estimator.

measured with a what tool? Sounds fishy to me... If a garage told me they found damage on a bumper it would just say "so what" and leave it at that..

as a matter of interest did he hit something with it?

Surely its down to what was/wasn't marked on the sheet when he took it.
