The parts code is a think CBZC,

for the 1.2 R4 TSI/TFSI 63-77 kW,  that is 2010- present.

When is the "new" 1.2 TSI engine supposed to be released?

That's what I'm trying to work out, I'm picking up my Monte Carlo TSI Black on Saturday. They were built months ago so will these have the engines in that you stated above or the newer one?

On the Vehicle Detail Print I got for mine it's a 2014 Model Year, the production date was 30th August 2013 and the Engine Number is CBZ E*****, it also satates that the Colour is 1Z1Z Black Magic Pearlescent.

 

The paint code appears to be at odds with others I have seen for the same paint though!

I am sure someone said that there has been a change of engine code on the 1.2 tsi in the Fabia since its introduction. The 'new' EA211 1.2 tsi was introduced in the new Golf/Leon/Octavia but it will surely not go into the current Fabia, as there is a new generation due next year.

THen i think the best would be to have a look inside the service manual and see what engine code you have there

Update, the vehicle data sheet states CBZB!
