Has my vRS been remapped?

Featured Replies

Took a short vid on a straight road, its from 30mph to 70mph in 3rd gear, I get to 4th gear at the last second.

Just wondering if anyone can compare this to their standard vRS 1.9 TDI?

I would say so. Around 3 seconds to 50, that is roughly what my remapped fabia did

Mines standard and it's slower then that

Only way to know for sure is read the map or do a VCDS log

Hmmm I'm not sure.

I have a cable coming off eBay so I guess I'll know for sure then.

Thing is, the car is 100% standard from what I can tell, there's some Briskoda stickers on the windows from the previous owner but I'm not sure of her username...

How long have ya had it? Where are you from? Could be my old one if you have only had it a couple of months

Ah but mine was lowered so you would have noticed that.

2006 in red, had it a week...

Just trying get a video up of mine that was mapped mate

Here's a vid of mine to compare,

Compare your video to this one of the one I had that was mapped

Hard to say really cos mine was all 3rd gear where as you're shifting sooner, it does look very very similar though!

Yours is 0.5 seconds quicker every time I watch it (counting from 40-60 on both vids).

What was yours remapped to?

yeh it is, last dyno'd at 177bhp 300FtLb's

I would say that's mapped my car is no where near that.

:o

Bit gutted really cos I wanted more power than I already have! lol.

Mine had 340 pound of torque. I'm trying to get a video up. Will be interesting to see if the 40 pound makes much difference. Have have started another thread called " show us your accelaration videos" this thread gave me the idea

340 FtLb's on a standard turbo? Don't think I will have been that much like or dyno must have been out lol

Here's another short clip of mine but this is after I've had a PD150 turbo out on it. Had it mapped again but only running 1.6 bar of boost due too not having an intercooler yet, still pulls a lot better than a mapped pd130

Jabba remap with upgraded clutch and graph to prove it on jabba rollers

Lol, I'll be lucky to see 340 FtLb's out of a PD150 never mind a 130

Well that's what the graph said.

VCDS measuring block log of group 011 will show requested boost which is the give away to show if its been remapped .

Pending the VCDS readout, post an image of your car, see if anyone knows it's history on here?

SWMBO had a red one (oooo errr missus!) and that was around 178bhp

It's just a standard 2006 vRS TDI with cruise control and red and black leather seats.

Just found her username is zoeped84, her post count is 0 and last logged in minutes before she gave it me.

She also said she asked a question about a light on the dash on this forum so wondering why her post count is 0? Also never advertised car on here, paid for auto trader.

I have a feeling she's hiding something and she's maybe deleted all her threads/posts.

Tried google cache but there's nothing there.
