any idea about Octavia 3 tow bar deliveries?

Hi, I ordered pre delivery tow bar prep on my Octavia estate then requested a tow bar be fitted prior to taking delivery

Collected the car on 30 October but was told that there would be a delay with the tow bar due to high demand for them and that I should be fixed up by 11 November, however still no sign of the tow bar and dealer says that there is a universal shortage even though production has been increased.

Customer services said that is the situation, I was wondering if anyone else was in same situation or could throw some light on it

I told salesman that I would look around for a third party fit but he said that if anything went wrong it could invalidate my warranty so I rang around comparatively close dealers to no avail, none in stock

One dealer told me that they never fit them themselves, but they send them to a local firm

I would appreciate any thoughts you may have
