New Octavia VRS Estate Tdi picked up on Saturday, recovered by RAC today Monday 2days

Featured Replies

Picked up my new Vrs estate silver Saturday after a 13 week wait, got in the car today and water warning light came on, checked under the bonnet, oil and water everywhere.

Rang dealer who told me to get it recovered, will keep you informed when I know whats wrong, only 50miles on clock.

Crikey, that's bad :( Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.

Ouch! :(

:(

Hopefully nothing too serious, just something not put together properly.

Damn it I would be so...  :@

Best of luck getting it repaired ASAP!

That would put a dent into my new car experience! :(

Oil cooler failure at a guess??

Not good whichever way!  That really does put a downer on the weekend..

Make sure the engine and bay is completely cleaned as new.

Oooops, that's not good.

Hopefully a quick and easy fix.

On a positive note the warning lights work!

Bump this one.

Any news.

Ouch, I hope they are loaning you a demo or something while they sort it.

Just seen this. Sorry to hear this has happened, I would be gutted! Hope to see some good news on this asap

Now thats what happens when you rush a build, 13 weeks, I bet you thought you'd won the pools or something compared to whats been quoted.

Seriously though, bad luck & get on to dealers right now for the loaner car.

Regards

T

Gutted for you! Id have been pretty devastated if thatd happened to mine.

Hope the dealer is supportive and get this sorted to your satisfaction. As others have said, not the best start and I hope this hasnt spoilt the experience of what is a cracking car.

I contacted Stuart back in December.

It was a burst coolant hose.

Car up and running and he was very pleased with it, after the minor hiccup.

Thats good news Keith. Least it got sorted

I don't want to appear harsh, but do you think people that come into a forum to share some bad like this should also follow up? Especially when he's been shown sympathy from other members.

Glad that its all been sorted...good news!

Yes indeed, not just for the information as to how the vehicle is but also as a courtesy to all those that took the time to respond and sympathise with the individual's predicament.

Courtesy? What's that? Glad it's not just me that gets wound up by this sort of thing.

Hope its gets sorted for you. I picked mine up, had 25mile on clock by time i got home. Then next morning oil all over my driver and the misses parents, turns out the worlds tiniest copper washer was crushed and leaked oil everywhere. All sorted and no problems since. :)

I agree.

A lot of help forums are like this. In particular, plumbing and heating ones.

You give loads of advice/ sympathy for a fault diagnosis with the OP finishing by saying, " I'll post the results" etc.

3 years later - no results.
