I recently turned on the windscreen heater, the one that's made up of very fine wires in the glass, but one second later it turned itself off.

Is there something that doesn't allow it to turn on if the temperature isn't cold enough?

Trying to work out if I need to get it fixed before the weather turns colder.

Never had a problem with mine heated front windscreen in the cold.

I ll have a look at it 2moro for u when it is not cold.

Mine turns on regardless of outside temp.

11.5 degrees in the garage.

turned it on.

 

Stayed on after 2mins and when outside temp dropped to 9.0degrees.

 

Then I turned it off.

Thanks all, looks like a call to the garage is in order. Thank goodness for the warranty!
