just had my first call from the dealer since 31st july. They told me my car is at Grimsby. I already know this as i've been tracking it online. They reckon i could get it within 1 week. WOW, having waited this long I refuse to get excited at the prospect of waiting only one more week. Will miss my MKII but long live the king. secretly cant wait.

Good luck to you. That sounds possible. My dealer told me that my car arrived at Grimsby on Wednesday so I could collect after Christmas. He then called me yesterday to say it would be delivered today, I've signed the papers, sorted my insurance (7 day free cover) and will collect on Monday at 1.00. Can't wait. Good luck.

Mine has arrived at Sheerness today. The dealer is trying to get it handed over before the new year. Not going to hold my breath. Looks like 16 weeks from order to delivery,glad I ordered when I did - the wait now is near to 24 weeks and no 0% PCP deal!

Thanks milbil.  When I went to sign the paperwork a few days before collection the dealer gave me some details and a freephone number to call. They then gave me seven days free insurance and a quote for the full year with them also offering to pay my existing companies cancellation charges. They were very pleasant and efficient and emailed myself and the dealer the cover note so that when I picked the car up today, they knew it was insured.

 

Some say they are competitive but in my case, sadly not. £620 compared to around £400 with my existing company.

 

You'll love the car,  it really is special,  fab with a capital F.

Likewise, got mine on Monday.  10 weeks from order to delivery.  I am delighted and keep on having to come up with excuses on why I need to "pop out"!!
