Tyre pressure, ABS and ESP warning lights all on... Ideas?

Featured Replies

Driving down the road earlier and all 3 lights (Tyre pressure, ABS and ESP) all flashed on. I pulled in garage and checked all tyre pressures, all fine.

Turned car back on... no lights, drove off and they came back on.

Returning home the 3 lights briefly went off but then back on a couple of times.

I tried riding the brakes down the road, emergency stops, etc... no joy.

Any ideas???

Thanks

Sounds like a sensor issue.

When you did the tyre pressures did you set them using the set button?

The wheel sensor is used for all 3 of those systems. A scan will reveal all.

So is the ABS pump.

Agreed, a VCDS scan will reveal the source of the problem.

Yeah I pressed the resrt button when I done the tyres.

I do have VCDS, I'll plug her in, wasnt sure if it'd bring anything up. Cheers.

Probably a sensor or the magnetic ring in the hub.

I suspect you'll get a 'sporadic' error on one of the rear wheels.

Good news is that if it goes off at all then it's not the G201 Teves ABS pump error.

Bad news is that if the ring in the hub has rusted it means a new hub. I've had to replace both rear hubs for that reason. Bearings were fine.

Right VCDS showed this... Good news!

New Bosch sensor is £40ish quid from carpartsforless! Thankfully not a massive problem, as expected. :)
