I was going to fit it to my octavia mk2 .

Don't know what the room is like behind the high level brake light trim on a mk1 but it fitted no bother behind the trim on the fabia

Would a Phillips CANbus controller / warning canceller allow it to work ?

Don't think so the coming home lights get wired into the sidelights at rear of switch owing to it being canbus it was a no go

2nd (or 3rd?!) dibs if it doesn't go Whoosh :)

I will take both if anything else falls through!

I don't know, but my understanding is that the box of tricks clamps to the wire(s) thereby fooling the can bus system into thinking that all is well, whereas if you put LEDs in without the bulb warning light would illuminate as the canbus system thinks there is a bulb fault due to the low voltage of the LEDs.

I was wondering if the same principle would work on this kit?

Provisionally sold

Will be the brake light flasher work on all levels of braking?  If it worked so could sense when brakes were being applied harder than usual then fair enough. :)

was it Bimmer 1 bread wagons that worked like that or did they just get brighter the heavier you braked?

Korban was working on one that worked with a sort of mercury tilt switch that only worked under heavy breaking but this one works on all levels of breaking
