Misfiring problem?

Featured Replies

Just put my car back on the road after doing the following....

Pre cat lambda sensor (used)

oil change

carbon canister swap (mine was clicking is that normal?)

Now when you put your foot down the car feels like its holding back and making a misfiring noise as its speeding up and the EML is still on.

Any ideas?

Coil pack.

Just had recall done from skoda few weeks ago so hope not, although it would be easier if this is the problem as they would have to replace again.

Could be an air leak somewhere causing it to run lean. I had that. Carbon cannister clicking is normal.

What are the plugs, what gap you running? What is the coilpack loom like?

Dont know mate to ant of them questions. Standard plugs changed a few months back.

Get a VAG COM cable and off you go..

Check your coil pack wiring loom. Prone to the insulation cracking and causes misfires
