Hi all looking for some info on how to fit an alternator to 1.8t 4x4.looked through here and cant find any info.can this be done DIY with socket set etc.recently spent about £800 on the thing and at this time of the year im trying to save some cash.thanks in advance for any advice given

Should be within the realm of most people who can swing on a spanner. Best advice is to invest in a Haynes manual. Always handy for all manner of reference and practical info. 

just fitted an alternator to my vrs took of inlet manifold hose and with a bit of moving about it will come out

well got it out and the new one back on but cant get the bet tensioner back on. Any ideas on how to do this? also ive noticed one of my injectors has been leaking cleaned it all up but the rubber o ring is perished. can you get these from skoda? Again thanks for any help
