Would I be right in thinking this particular example has the sports seats? We spec'd them on our SE 1.2 order.

They do look like the sports seats I had in my Urban (white stitching and higher side bolsters), although the accompany details do not mention them specifically as being fitted.

 

Also, this is the City version, so not sure if that makes any difference to the type of standard seats fitted, which also may have the white stitching.

I think that you will find that they will let you have the car but you will have to wait for the logbook

Mladá Boleslav, 12 December 2013 – ŠKODA’s results in November affirmed the positive trend of recent months. ŠKODA delivered 82,000 vehicles to customers worldwide, which is an increase of 5.3 % (November 2012: 77,900 vehicles). In Europe, the car manufacturer delivered 57,900 cars to customers, representing double-digit growth of 14 %, further increasing the brand’s market share in Europe. The new ŠKODA Octavia proved to be a big hit, with sales of the vehicle increasing 60.9 % in Western Europe in November.

 

 

Might have been more deliveries if the waiting times were shorter!

Indeed.  But I didn't want to give people the idea...

I have heard of this practice.

 

Perhaps the reason was delivery of the new F/L was expected in very shortly and would you want to order order a test drive in a old model ? .

Either way I'm over the moon with the deal and all round performance of the 140, what your souped up 170 does must be amazing, do you use it for everyday use or just track days?

 

It was my daily driver, but arrival of my electric car which costs peanuts to run relegated the Yeti to my 4x4 and towing vehicle for the Citigo.

Thanks for the second confirming opinion. Interior spec doesn't differ on Indoor / Outdoor version AFAIK.

Given the recent discussion on options delaying order's, seeing sports seats on a delivered UK car suggests to me they are not one of the possible options that are delaying builds, although that could always change.
