hard vac line?

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can a full replacement hard vac pipe? Its the pipe that runs along the bulk head then between engine and airbox into the throttle body. Its got two 1 way valves in it (well I think they are) tried replacing with silicone hose but it just collapses as soon as engine starts. Got a couple of splits in it and keeps throwing the engine management light on. Temp fixed with insulation tape at mo. All other pipework is good for now. When engine running can hear it hissing and I know exactly where it coming from. Will try to post some pics. I hope somebody understands what im trying to describe, any and all help appriciated

If your car were a diesel I would have said that would have been the rigid vacuum feed for the brake servo, but your description does sound quite the same (I know it is a petrol so a bit different anyway).  Either way I decided it looked like a bit of a pig to change.

I would imagine it will be a dealer or TPS (if your local supplier is happy to sell to the public) part.

Been trying to post pics on here for a while but cant :( any advice for posting pics using a galaxy s3 cheers

Just go to more posting options press on that then upload pics from gallery or wherever. That option doesn't show on the mobile version you've got to go to the full version ( I think ).

I use photo bucket to upload pictures and then once it is uploaded you can copy and paste the link the photobucket gives you on here which when you post a reply turns it into your picture...

There will probably be a tutorial if you Google it and other people use different methods such as flikr

Photo bucket on a mobile?

Right. I'll have a look for that. Should work on a Google nexus.
