Hello Briskoda people!

 

I'm joining here shortly after placing an order for an Octavia Mk III wagon, and looking forward to meeting in the community. It looks like I'll be in the minority with a non-vRS, but the Octy has only just been released here in Oz, and Skoda is seriously under-appreciated as a brand. I hope this will all change with the Octavia, it looks like a cracking vehicle. vRS looks very tasty but I can't wait another 6 months for a family car!

 

Sadly, delivery for an order placed in December is April at the earliest. SkodaAus bodged the release it would seem, they kept us hanging on for months, and when they finally did release it, they must have panicked and did so before they were really ready. That is, they have no wagons available for sale. Thankfully for them I was already sold and was prepared to wait, but it really won't help improve their market share.

 

Anyway the specs: 1.4 TSi manual (Race Blue), Ambition Plus spec. This is roughly equivalent to the SE in the UK, but comes with 17 in wheels. I went for the rear LEDs too, it's a pretty cheap bit of bling.

Treendale, welcome to Briskoda.

It's not unusual to have to wait a few months for a new Skoda to be jilt.

I waited 6 months for my first yeti in 2010 and 3 1/2 for the current one ordered in March this year.

Still, I'm sure you'll enjoy it when it arrives.
