Upgraded my sound system in my 2012 fabia Monte Carlo. Replaced the standard head unit (stereo) with a Pioneer avh-3400dvd and fitted a Vibe SLR12 Active Subwoofer in the boot. I've also Carbon Fibre wrapped the surround of the stereo. The hardest part of fitting the upgrades was threading the power cable for the subwoofer through the fire wall of the car in order to connect it to the battery. I managed to do this by running it along side the bonnet release cable. Then ran this down the left hand side of the car underneath the door trims then the RCA cables and remote wire down the right and side under the door sills. All of the cables are hidden and looks smart.

Sorry about the mess in the boot, it's quite a small compact unit and can be taken out when ever using a fast plug

This is where the CD player is located behind the screen

Can you please do me a favour? Can you tell us what was your standard headunit ? Also can you take a look and the rear side of your headunit and find the manufacturer of the unit (Delphi, Blaupunkt etc) ? Or the number of the unit to find out the manufacturer of the headunit ?

Here is why I am asking. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/247961-swing-radio/
