Should I sell my leather interior before I part ex my vrs

Featured Replies

So I'm thinking of chopping my vrs in as I could do with something bigger with a growing family. It's got leather interior although I don't think it's what was on them as an option as it doesn't have the vrs logo or stitching, it's possible that it's from a polo or something as the seats seem to be the same style eg bolster size etc.

I'm wondering if it would be more profitable to sell/part ex my interior with the standard cloth vrs interior before I do swap the car or whether it is worth the hassle.

  • Still can't believe you want to sell the alfas. Someone will get a bargain and a stunning set of seats anyway.

  • There the same as the ones "skodalad" put in his I seem to have started a Alfa Romeo leather seat craze on here .. maybe they will be the new Spiders/ TT comps?

Not really, how can people give you there opinion without knowing which seats they are and condition? ;)

Seriously I was just after opinions on if there would be any point bothering, if I would get any extra part exchange value by selling them separately. In no way is this an attempt to sell them and I would happily pay the £12 to become a member if I decided to advertise them.

People seem a bit pessimistic on here today

Mite as well just leave them in unless you have a set of standard seats ready to swap over right away

I'd personally say sell separate, if you can be arsed to mess around sorting it. But I don't think there'd be loads of difference money wise really. As you'd prob get 300-400 for the seats, but I doubt it'd increase your car value the same.

Kyle where are you??

Everyone knows how I'm always the first to offer to buy leather seats from members selling their cars ;)

Good job I have a very good condition set of standards to offer too ;)

Aslong as you swap your trim with another fabric set thats in just as good condition and get a bit of cash your way you cant really loose out.

Just down the road in Telford ;)

And I think a pre requisite of any sale is the seller joining up to freedom!

No one can tell you with out seeing them, they could be horrible old saggy seats, they could be nice tt seats with a rear retrim or some rare recaro leathers out of a golf mk4. Could be those nasty black leathers with the sunken head rest out of the old a3 aswell....whod want them :s

Will be locked soon i expect though.

Well let's hope the OP gets back to me soon so I can treat my car to an Xmas present although I should probably not spend any money this time of the year lol!

Why you selling some?! :p

No. The only seats I want are Sport/ Bohemias, heated.

I only want leathers as then I won't need to be worried about getting seats dirty! :)

I wouldn't want anything BUT Recaro now. It's really raised the ball for me. Not fussed whether it would be fabric or leather, just Recaro.
The feel is amazing, you are just bolstered in particularly on the top seat frame, its like the advert for the big hug drink

So I'd say leave them in, if they aren't Recaro they are second best anyway  lol sorry but seriously I do love the fastened in feel now to Recaros and there is no way in hell I would personally part for anything like standard sport seats.

Double edged sword, its seemingly more difficult to sell than you might think for such a good car, so the leather may not make a huge difference in price but may persuade someone to buy for a price closer to what you wanted.

For what mine cost me I personally wouldn't bother with removing and just let someone enjoy the car with them in. But I'm not selling yet if ever :)

Stick a piccie or two up for identification purposes.

Dan this slipped under my leather radar, I have failed you
