Will any BOV work for it?

I´m very interested in the HKS SSQV, but an person I know has an identical car, and the HKS SSQV made it run poorly, stall when driving and hitting the clutch and not keeping the RPM´s at a level when just running (not driving), kept jumping up and down. Is it because of the BOV itself or does it need something special done to it in order to work properly?

I´m hoping to be able to get a fluttering BOV for my car, if anyone has any pointers towards some other BOV if the HKS SSQV is out of the picture.

The 1.8t needs a recirculating valve to run properly. If it's the noise you're after, Forge do a valve that will do both recirc and blow off. I used to have one but could never get it set right so I swapped it for a 007P which still makes a good noise if you run it with a decent cold air intake.

Oh and yes, I am looking for more sound. For some reason this original valve isnt doing it for me

Yep +1 for re-circ  :|  sadly the wrong sort of engine for the "PSSSSSTTTTHHHHHHHHHH" effect you're after...

 

Get a cheap one off ebay as they are built the same as the forge items which cost ALOT!

 

Induction kit would get you a bit more noise?
