I'm selling my 740i as I fancy a change, I think I want another saloon or hatch but this time I want a turbo. I also want serious power, preferably as standard. I'm considering a Saab 9-5 2.3t HOT Aero with 250bhp as standard, maybe another Volvo S60 but in T5 guise and maybe an Octavia VRS but this has quite a but less power as standard plus in terms of comfort etc there isn't really a comparison. Budget is low..probably around £1200 (depending on my 740i sale) has anyone else got a suggestion? Maybe even an estate?

A soarer with a 1jz engine is the only thing i can think off im that price range...maybe a poopabru estate?

Cheap smoker turbo barge, you're looking at a Volvo (some serious bargains if you look at s40 or s80)or a Saab (don't forget the 9000), or maybe a Passat 1.8T. Although Audi 100/200 QT's do pop up now and then if you like some old school.

850 T5s are probably going up in value now unless they're buckets but might be worth a look.

I know its another coupe but Rover Turbo's still look awesome aswell, only other thing i can think of in price range is a Mundano ST220

scratch that its a V6 not a turbo. Cant think of any more other than those already mentioned. Not much choice really go with the VRS

Not sure what you'd find out there in Impreza land? Watch out for rot underneath/ suspension mount issues mind
