Anybody tried one of these? I know they are somewhat pricy compared to stock but wondered if their performance claims justified the additional outlay or not.

Im going to get one as I think my rev G is on way out. I'm buying for reliability not performance though

Reliability was my main consideration as well as it's claimed to be "fit and forget".

general feedback on them seems good, although they can be a little louder than OEM apparently, cant say that would bother me

yes, slightly louder than factory, but I have an aftermarket intake so the factory one was already heard - barely.

anyway, seems to do the job well on my car!

I thought mine was quieter than a rev D with an induction kit. It also started leaking immediately as the spring couldn't cope with the boost but the revised spring would have sorted that.
