Give me somthing to Photograph! Ideas

Featured Replies

I somewhat fail to gather any inspiration to photograph anything that isn't automotive. I'm off work until Jan 02 some i have some time to try new things.

Any ideas welcome!

what about twilight, night and dawn shoots, technically challenging and interesting / beautiful results - possibly?

I think i massively lack motivation due to it being winter. Rather annoying  :wall:

What about a single car part?

Make it look like an advert for that specific part.

Still life set up, nice easy one like this?

Local landscape/cityscape maybe?

Or go to the zoo or nature reserve?

There are plenty of things to get out and point your lens at, just have a go, I look forward to seeing some of your shots when you have got them.

I know, i just get annoyed. I just want to expand.

Other than Automotive photography? Anything really.

It maybe the fact i enjoy cars so much that i struggle to think where to begin with anything else. I need to change that.

Mark started as an enthusiast and has grown his photography to include Land Rover Jaguar and Aston Martin, he also shoots free lance for Walsall council and numerous motorsport events.

Just shows your hobby can grow and become your main income.

Here's a challenge for you. Visit a local rspb reserve and aim to get some photos of a particular species.

I think carsington waters shouldn't be too far away from you.

Their star species are buzzards and great crested grebes

Jets lifting off or landing at either East Midlands or Manchester.......Manchester has a dedicated viewing area apparently with some static aircraft to look around too

That's awesome. There is a few ways of light painting. I prefer to just highlight an object as appose to making patterns around them. Looking forward to doing a car.

The guy who took that image is retired now at a mere 50 years old, he has plenty of time on his hands and would probably offer tuition if you were interested? He is in Liverpool and photographs anything and everything.

What a nice age to retire! He's a little far from me, but thanks!
