Probably not news to some, did a quick search and came up blank so...

 

when i've been using the paddles to change gear, to get back to auto mode, i have always moved the gear lever from auto to manual and back again to select auto mode.

turns out that, if you have flappy paddles, you can just hold the upshift paddle for a couple of seconds to do the same thing. :)

 

Ha, didn't know that. I have been doing exactly the same with the gear lever.

I've been doing that for the last 2 years    :think:    :giggle:

Dealer told us about this on our Fabia, just keep a hold of it, simples. Also the Fabia goes back to auto mode if you stop at traffic lights or a junction unless you have the selector over to the left.

I knew about going back into auto if your manual selection is outside normal parameters, like stopping at junctions without changing down, but this just makes life so much easier.
