ACC/Front Assist Failure/Error

Featured Replies

Hey everyone - I have experienced a rather annoying fault with my ACC/Front Assist functionality. This morning it kept showing an error on my Maxidot display and would not function. It was a very generic error message (Error: ACC). I pulled over to ensure there weren't any obstructions (it was clear) and also restarted the car - neither fixed the issue.

It lasted for about an hour of mixed A-B and Motorway driving and is still going on. I'm going to try and pop into a dealership and hope they can see me but I thought I'd throw it out here to see if anyone on the board has experienced a similar situation (or knows how to fix it?)

Also - does anyone know if you can purchase the extended warranty 3 months after purchase?

Looks like everyone is booked up for a while in their service depts. Anyone out there who can help in the meantime?

At a guess this will be dealer only - get it booked in.

I had a similar thing with my stop/start - didn't work for 2 days and all I got was Error:Sart/Stop system on the Maxidot and Infotainment screen everytime I started the car.

After 2 days it just started working again! It has logged a couple of fault codes though, just need to get it booked in after the New Year to be sorted.

Also - does anyone know if you can purchase the extended warranty 3 months after purchase?

Yes, you can extend the warranty at any time during the first 3 years or 60,000 miles which ever comes first. If you then take he 4 yr/80,000 mile warranty, you can still extend again to 5yr/100,000 miles if purchased before your current warranty expires. Skoda have sent me reminders in the past when warranties are about to expire.

Was that for the full Skoda factory warranty & not some dealer insurance cover. I enquired for my Octy 2 & Skoda said you can only get the full warranty if ordered with the car new. That was during my 1st year of ownership.
