hello just wondering if anyone can help me here my Octavia 1.6i has recently started cutting out whilst driving along and losing power but if the car has been running for a little while it is all fine and is a pleasure to drive.

also the radiator recently has been coming on after a 5 min drive and kept going after swithching ignition off even after just a drive round the corner 1 mile drive.

if you have solutions or answers to what could be causing thease problems would be very grateful thanks sam.

Cutting out - is it like it's running on three, or being starved of fuel or air?

 

Coolant Temperature Sensor for the rad fan coming on?

 

Does it get up to normal running temperature as it should?
