Old shape 1.9 130 bhp Elegance 100 miles for

would have to drive them both, one is fairly down on power so it depends how they both drive i would say

Driven both and have owned a 130 elegance (very nice) the engine in the octy II is a bit rougher/noisier but if you can afford it go for the new one much more room better handling more toys.....the old octy pd 130 was a bit hooligan same engine as the furbie vrs....fun but the suspension was too soft to take advantage of it...also could never see the point of climate control AND a sunroof ...never opened mine

New one, so much more for your money and doesn't look outdated.

New. A much better car overall, even if it is not as fast.

Old, forget the newness issue, but the older shaper was constructed far better and is a much better ride, there is something odd about the new one, cant quite put my finger on it.

I'd buy the old one at that price (and if you tell me where it is I might just do that)

I slightly prefer the exterior styling of the old one , and while the new one has what's in general a better interior the old one is much better for changing the stereo and has a sunroof. Both of these are very important to me.

The engine is much better on the old one and you are getting a new car rather than one that has done 10k.

Yep , of those two I'd buy the old one.

There is a brand new Octy Vrs in Black sat in my dealers showroom. I reckon with a bit of haggling you could own that for the same money.

My local dealer is advertising new octy vrs's for 13k but it's not ideal when I do 30k miles per year.

I'd go for the new one, I like the old Octavia but the new one is so much better. The independant rear suspension gives alot better handling and the 105bhp engine isnt too shy.

must agree, its nice (the new one) but theres something i cant quite put my finger on. its just not...

...better looking.

never driven a new on though, so cant comment on the ride.

I'd go for the old one in a flash particularly if it was an L&K (which it isn't). And I like the option of Climatronic plus sunroof, especially in Spring and Autumn. :)

Go for the new one, I had a 130 Elegance estate, along with a furby vRS, but the octy didn't like going round corners, so much so that i eneded calling it the panzer, before p ex ing it for another furby vRS. ( Both of the vRS's have gone, but that's another story)

stokey
