Featured Replies

This is great stuff! Keep it up!

Bloody hell mate the attention to detail is unreal. Very impressed with the work so far, keep it up.

The short shifter you mention, have you installed this yet?

WOW! There's a lot of love going into this car B)

Great work fella, keep it up

Thank you! The shortshift have not arrived yet. Need to change the clutch first and the seal for the shiftfork before mounting anyway ;)

I think I found somebody else a while ago that have used the dieselgeek shortshift on a fabia vrs mk1. So its worth a try!

But the undercarriage / chassi is prio one for now. Would be lovely to get the car rolling again!

Great build thread, some good attention to detail here. If you could let me know too about the Diesel geek short shift kit too please.

I did ask on here ages ago about anybody running or using one but didn't get a reply. I had one on my old Seat Ibiza cupra 20VT and it's a great mod, made a massive differance over the fwd Audi TT gearbox shifter I had fitted before to the car.

Keep the updates and pics coming :-)

Wow what an opening post!

Keep it going

After reading in Johnno92 project thread I ordered perforated vinyl from FlyEyesKit. Looks like a great solution for tinting the head/taillights :)

The pearl is now back on the car lift. Not much done today, simply only the rear beam bushes where mounted. I also found out that the new rear brake heatshields are wrong.. Made for Polo 6R i guess with tiny rearbrakes.. Will order new at work tomorrow.

Cheers

Det var som attan! Ännu en Nordbo som kör Fabia! Vad tar du för att total renovera min?

Where do you live in sweden? I can fix your car ;)

:hi:  Swede living abroad, but for sure, if we can agree, i would not mind leaving my Fabia Wagon 2.0 // 2003 for a total upgrade. 250.000 km. As i mentioned in my introduction, i became emotional attached and dont want to see this car go away...

Its a gem!

This is going to be near on concourse at this rate with a decent spec. Can't wait to see more of it

PRAGUE - I really can help you, but first I need to get my own car rolling again. I hope you have understanding ;)

Some freaking ideas is going on in my head right now! Im not going to reveal them before I have checked some of it first.

But if I can make the ideas work at an reasonable amount of money I will do it. This car maybe soon be one Epic Motherf.

Cheers!

Burrowed this Golf mk4 v6 4-motion from my friend to do some measurements. Maybe you can guess what plans I have? Fabia mk1 Alldrive, Woop Woop!! It´s been done by people already but it´s still uniqe. The rear suspension, haldex, propshaft etc. is not straight bolt-on. But the way I see, it´s posible to do. Prio one will be to mount the rear suspension, fuelcell and build the exhaust inline with the propshaft. Will not need the 4wd until the internal engine upgrade is done I think! So the other parts will be bought later when needed! :)

Already ordered:

Golf mk4 v6 4-motion 2001: Propshaft and rear suspension. Aprox. 9500mil = 59k miles. Pictures is taken 2006, seems like these parts are not very needed, until now ;)

I will now also have friend support to make this happen! David known him for years, driving a Ibiza Mk2 converted to vr6 2,9l. I will help him with his car after this. He is thinking about a rotrex! Will be awesome :)

Goodnight!

Interesting! Will keep an eye on this :)

All I can say is wow this is going to be an amazing fabia and love the attention to detail. I'm keen to see the progress might learn a thing or two :)

What an amazing project. Another or interested in the shortshifter. I didn't know one existed until now :)

Great looking thread so far. B)
