Rear wiper issues

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Just noticed today that my rear windscreen wiper seems to have a mind of its own. I had it in off position and noticed it was operating repeatedly with no breaks.

So I checked the position of the stalk and it was still in the off position.

The really strange thing now is that If I turn the wiper stalk to on but not spraying, it turns off.

Got back to work and decided to have another play around with it.

Really doesn't look well at all. I'm due for my 2nd free service in 500 miles so will mention it when I get to the dealers.

Anyone else had similar issues?

Not had that myself. If you don't want to wait, feel free to make use of your warranty and get it checked now. If they discover a part needs to be ordered at least this can be done and sitting ready for when it's in for service.

I recently had the same problem with my 62 plate vrs, and, after checking the forum, decided to take it to the dealers. They replaced the rear wiper motor under warranty. Worth popping in if you are still in warranty.

Had this same problem last week with my 62 plate blackline went to dealers and they replaced the Rear wiper motor they said it seems to be a bad batch of sealant used on the motors and water is getting into the motor and sending them haywire they have replaced loads recently so were confident this would sort problem and seems to have ????
