Have had cruise retrofitted a while ago, I now find that after straightening the steering after turning, my indicators only self cancel as and when they feel like it.

 

Is this a common quirk, or is something amiss?

Hmm - kind of what I was thinking, tbh. 

 

Guess I'm gonna have to look into it.

Problem solved.

 

Manufacturing fault with yellow cancellation tab sitting too tight in indicator.

 

So, I disassembled the stalk, shaved a bit off the sides of the the tab and put it all back together.

 

Job jobbed.
