I would really like to source an original Skoda part Dog Guard for my Yr2000 2.0 TDI SE hatchback.

My dealer says that there isn't one available (only for the estate).

Got any ideas please?

I got mine off here.Ebay would be your best bet.

You say Mk2 guard yet your car is a MK1 so might be best getting it moved to the MK1 section?

 

When I had a MK1 I did have an oem dg for the MK1, if your question is 'was there one' yes there was, where to get one, guess fleabay or the wanted section on here?

Having a nightmare... can't spell Octavia properly and it is a Yr2010 (sorry).

I bought a dog guard off eBay this week (Part No. 861SKA001, claimed by seller), having been reassured that it would fit.

However, it doesn't - too wide, doesn't line up with fittings and slightly too tall so snags roof lining.

What a nuisance!

i have the estate and a very giddy labrador but dont use a guard. the retractable parcel shelf and brolly holder just keeps him away from back seats

if it helps the OE dog guard is great, we have one in our car, perfect fit, no rattles, strong and super quality. not cheap but miles ahead of pattern stuff
