Hi, New member to Briskoda

Featured Replies

Been lurking around this forum for about 2 months now and joined a couple of weeks ago.

Have just taken the first step into my first Skoda   (Have had many VW's previously).

Test drove a Silver Estate VRS for a couple of hours earlier this week, liked it

Have applied to lease an Octavia VRS TDI DSG Estate (Combi?) in Meteor Grey, with Cruise, Black pack and Sunset Glass.

As well as the usual business use the car will ferry my golf clubs to/from my golf club (Clubs fit perfectly widthways in the boot allowing plenty of room for trolley :whew: ) and also cart myself and 3 or 4 friends down to the the Alps once or twice a year (1500 mile round trip).

I found my current car (BMW 330D Touring 59 plate) handles the long trips very well (Great Autoroute/Autobahn cruiser), but a little tight on space last year with 4 of us and all our gear (including using the huge 480L Atlantis 780 roofbox), so looking forward to next years trip with an extra 150L of space in the boot  , hopefully the Octavia will average a little more than the 37mpg we averaged for the trip last time :wonder:

As I will not likely receive the new car until May/June this years ski trip will be done borrowing my fathers Volvo XC90, so plenty of room in the big unit

I am a member on mk5golfgti as previous to the 330D I had a Candy White GTI Edition 30 DSG stage 2 (Around 320bhp)

Welcome :)

Welcome from me too. :)

Hi and welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome

Not too sure where to put this message - having had my Superb Hatchback 170 4x4 for almost 2 years I STILL think it's one of the best cars I've ever had including Mercs, Volvos, VWs etc.

Have towed over 3000 miles and it's been BRILLIANT. However, having bought a new and much heavier caravan and concerned about weight ratios etc. I am changing to a Kia Sorento KX2 SATNAV Auto next week. Soda pulls new caravan very well but difference in weights is a bit of a concern.

I will REALLY miss my Skoda and wish I could have both but financially not sane.

Bye everyone and long live the Skoda Superb......... It was SUPERB!
