Right as we all know the Fabias are prone to having condensation issues, the main cause is usually the rear door carriers. After sealing mine with plumbers gold and then resealing and resealing and the using the shower curtain and peg routine I decided to inspect the front doors.

Now I took my car to a garage to fit a window reg etc, at the end of summer. So I started with that side door. Low and behold, the garage had drilled the rivets out to fit a new window reg but hadn't refitted the door carrier back. Ergo what flowing through....

Any one know how to refit the carrier back to the door? I don't have a rivet gun. Thinking about bolting it back on, anyone know the size?

Well the rivets are whoppers, about 6.4mm dia. There won't be anything for bolts to screw into unless you were thinking of self-tappers?

Borrow a rivet gun of suitable capacity? If you search for a how-to thread by tech1e on carrier removal, I think the Skoda part number for the rivets is in there. Edit: actually it isn't in there, if you can't find it yourself I can look at a packet of them tomorrow in the garage for you. Edit2, found it:
