Guys.... Can the sills be fixed and straightened back up ?

After the 2 jack accidents :( i had a nose about

When the poo oem fell it bent it a bit

When the stupid trolly gave ip ( even with my grooved puck lol ) its squished abit

I then nosed about and somewhere along the lone some clown has squashed the front ffs

That bugs me as if i want to break it thats my car grrrrr but for someone else to do it ......... GRRRRR

and when repaired can it be strengthened anyway ?

They can, but its a right ball ache to do. 

Had mine fixed after a accident with a car jack too!

A slide hammer was used to pull the dent out with no problems.

Think it's quite straight forward to do depending on how bad it is.

Won't post a pic of my sill as it makes me cringe lol!

Yeah done mine loads of times due to muppets in garages jacking from the sill. Used some mole grips to bend back roughly straight and then hammer to tap to a better position. I then used some tiger seal thinly to level the line and touch up with hammerite. Now I make a point of telling garages in advance if sills are bent they get billed.

i stopped when wrote it trying to decide patients or patience lol

I'd like to get mine straight again, but I don't have the patience for it

Shame theres not a steel over sill that can be bedded over the poo vag oem sill and make it stronger lol

I supose u could go to a fabricators a a piece welded along then bodyshop to paint it

I think I'm gonna use the grips and hammer and dolly method!!

Does anyone have the problem with the wing bottoms sticking out due to the sill damage???

I'm amazed anybody even dares to put a jack under the sills. I generally chuck mine under the back wishbone bolt, or subframe bolt, and for the rear I cheat and use a big bottle jack under my towbar.

 

Unfortunately my sills are buggered too by a previous numpty. :(

I brought the TT jack pads and spent a weekend swearing at it using a clamp and a ratchet strap to pull the damaged parts back down

Yeah i gotbtt pads but someone tried the front and its mushed abit

I can only think of 2 posters doing it ?

Unless a tyre guy tried then thought "feck"

The TT pads are not jacking pads :S
