Footwell lights on a vRS ?

Featured Replies

Chaps, had these on my Rocco, not on the vRS though.

Is it possible to retrofit? Just wondered if perhaps the necessary wiring was lurking behind the footwell panels somewhere?

Thanks everso...

wiring won't be there

i think you can retrofit them on the mk3 providing you find out how to code them and pin location on bcm

Sounds like too much effort for the gain, will give that a swerve I think.

Thank you.

Standard equipment in Norway :)

Are they even able to be specced in the UK?

Couldn't you just wire into the puddle lights?

In my old focus ST the loom and bulb inserts were already in place, god knows why they never installed the bulbs at the factory, £8 later and I had footwell lights...

No footwell lighting on any Octy3 in the uk??? how odd... the leon has these from SE trim up

I was thinking the same thing. I'm wondering if ekta will shed any light? Anyone with access care to have a look?

The wiring has to be there surely? I can't see them designing country specific looms especially as options that are offered will change through the product life cycle.

That was my reasoning but sadly I don't have access to anything to help me.

Is there any chance you could post a description or picture (pic best!) of where the lights are located?

It would be easier to go looking for the wires if we knew where to look!

I know it's not the same car but on the focus the bulb inserts were next to the fan outlets for the feet tucked up behind the centre console plastics.

I'll see if I get time for a dig around tomorrow

see if these pics of my leon's footwells are any help.... ?

No such locations on my vRS, on the passenger side there's just a piece of sound insulation and on the right just a big open hole.

They're a 11 euro option in Romania. Was way too cheap not to take it...  :giggle:

No, no wiring. If the wire does not have a purpose, it won´t be there - trust me. There is different looms for each level of equipment as well. I.e. if the car is made without speakers in the rear doors, you won´t find any wires there either.

This would be a good seller on super skoda website then!

Hmmm. 11 euro option suggests less than a whole different wiring loom. But if there's no place for them on the trim it doesn't matter!

Damn you Skoda UK!

I will upload pictures of my retro fit footwell lights!

Ile have to wait until its dark to take some photos first! ...

How did you retrofit though?
