Fabia vRS deals?

Featured Replies

Afternoon all!

SWMBO is tempted to trade our vRS in for a new one but go for an estate thus time around.

Been looking at a silver estate with Bluetooth, mfsw, climate, silver paint which is a showroom model at our local dealer. It's been there for ages so I suspect they are desperate to shift it.

My question is what is the current going rate for one of these? List is 19k or something stupid. Obviously there is the 0% PCP available which we would go for but there is no way I would pay that kind of money.

Anybody recently bought a new vRS? How much discount did you manage? I want an idea of the max discount possible before I ride into battle.

Cheers!

Tom

  • Cheers guys. Looks like should be aiming for 2.5k-3k off which is what I thought. Will push them hard and see what can be done and let you know what happens whether I take a deal or not!

  • Cheers for that. The Carlisle price looks good. I've seen all eh magazine/internet broker prices but wanted confirmation of what deals people on here had actually done. Going in to the stealer tomorro

  • Good for you , that's a crap deal on offer. Make them sweat and wait until the last day of the month!!!!

I picked a new one up on in January. 0% 3 year PCP on 10K with 3 years free servicing.  They wanted to shift so gave me a deal on the options.

Invoice total £17068  RRP should have been £19,529 a £2461 saving…

VRS Hatchback

Options:
Steel Grey
Climate Control

Chrome Alloys
Carpet mats
Rear Electric Windows

Parking Sensors

Cruise Control

Bluetooth

Third Head Rest

I went in with a "drive the deal " quote, and they got within £200 of it (£15200) then I added black paint, black wheels, climate, bluetooth, eibach springs....

autoexpress has £14209 the aim for price for a saloon , no options

Although the Vat free deal is not still on in theory,I see no reason why you would wish to pay anymore....and preferably less,of course.

In the current market and knowledge of the Fabia vRS  PROBLEMS ,AS YET UNSOLVED.

I WOULD BE LOOKING AT UNDER £16.5 K WITH A 5 YEAR WARRANTY THROWN IN.

Try orange wheels.

SOME VERY GOOD DEALS TO BE HAD ON DEMO CAR,CHECKOUT THE Skoda UK website.

But 5 year warranty a must , for you and sell on.

I got 0% PCP with 12k miles per year for 3.5 years, £195 per month.  That's for the vRS with leather steering wheel.  No additions though, as it was the showroom model, but it's a lovely car and I'm very pleased with it.

How much deposit for that mate?

GOOD LUCK!

How much deposit for that mate?

By my maths a healthy 4-5k.

Maybe worth getting this weeks 'Auto Express', February Special. no.1,302

Has the 'Top 100 New Car Deals',  there are some pretty good deals among the cars listed.

No Skoda prices on DTD, but an Ibiza FR sport tourer with 1.4 TSI DSG is a smidge over £14k on there.

There's a couple of 63 reg vRS estates with virtually no mileage on autotrader for a little over £15k so if you were wanting the stock one maybe offer £14k and go from there. The estate appeals to a tiny market, there's all the engine issues and it's a model that is going to disappear soon - make your offer, leave your number and you'll see if they actually want to get rid. I'd bet they'll soon settle on a price you'd like.

New order I'd want at or close to the old no-VAT price.

Are there such things available new as an Ibiza ST FR 1.4 TSI DSG,  ?

I can only find Ibiza ST 1.2 TSI 105 ps DSG.

There is one of those advertised, White, 63 Plate under  200 miles, 'Asking price' under £12,500.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk

Odd. DTD also lists a 1.4 ACT (the cylinder deactivation engine from the Polo BlueGT) for the Ibiza FR ST but that's not on the Seat price list either.

Now a VW Polo Blue GT (1.4 TSI 140 ps DSG ACT),

is one i think i will wind up a VW Dealership by going in and asking 'their best price on',

no doubt the most recent potential Lemon built by VW.

(there are only 3 advertised on Autotrader, 2 Autos and 1 manual)

Look at www.carfile.net

That's how I bought mine - cheaper than the local dealer 2nd hand one - and this way I got exactly the spec I wanted. Carfile were really good to deal with too, highly recommended

The trade in of my old smart Roadster was the deposit, which came to just under £4k

Ok so back from the dealership!

Not good news really :-(

Car I'm looking at has a list price of £19455

Offered £8400 as a trade in (March 2011 vRS hatch, white, black roof , climate, cruise, heated seats 22k on clock, dark chrome rims).

The first offer was £7900 for the trade in which I managed to get up by another £500 but still not that great imho.

The killer is they refused to consider ANY discount at all off list. The poor sales guy went back to the boss a couple of times but not a penny offered bar the extra on the part-ex!! And remember this is a showroom car which has been sitting there unsold for nearly 6-months now......

Poor effort from the dealer in my view. They trotted out the same old excuse we've been hearing on here of "all the margin is eaten up with the 0% offer".

Not surprisingly we walked out. They are gonna call me on Monday I think. Wonder if the offer might improve?

Sales guy was very pleasant tho. Ringing around some more dealers now to see what others can do!

That seems such a poor deal that to sell yours to WBAC (or similar) and to buy from an internet broker would better it by miles !!

EDIT,  Agree totally with what XK140 posted as i typed.

Is that Silver Estate sitting 'unregistered' in the Showroom.?

They probably will need to register it before February, and if not it will be for certain to be before March and new Registrations.

They have much to suck up if it is not going to sell.

But I see them struggling to get your car shifted with any profit on it, so i can see where they are coming from

Makes the Red Estate 63 plate estate which another Dealer is advertising for £15,5000 with 1,000 miles on it,

look like a bargain if they have to take more money off that to get it sold.

Buyers Market and Dealers will just have to accept that,

but if they are going to stuggel to shift Trade ins like vRS's, i do understand the difficulty of their position.

I wonder what Skoda UK are going to do to help Dealers sitting with cars they can not shift.

I still think that A1 185 ps must have gone back to Audi because those that were sitting advertised and not selling

appears to have ether sold at long last and are no longer in the Trade, or somehow else are not around.
