Couple of questions for the GURU's ;)

Featured Replies

Hi there :)

Just have a few questions for the gurus's of the mk1 6Y2 Fabia vrs lovers :)

1: What fog light bulb is in a 2006 model fabia vrs?

2: If I EGR delete my car, will I need to get it mapped? i.e will the engine management light come on? :(

3: Also what is the best way to have a loud exhaust under acceleration but not when on idle? Loads of exhausts for this car, but don't know what to buy?!

Please help.

Many Thanks :)

Tom.

Evening.

From memory fog light bulb is H3.

EGR delete will throw a CEL and does need mapping out.

My Mk1 had a Magnex zorst decatted and my Roomster runs a modified Piper zorst for a MK1 fabia. I would say the Piper is a good bet.

HTH

You can have the egr mapped out without an egr delete kit. Saves a bit of money.

h3 sounds right for the bulbs.

no idea on exhaust

Yep

H3 bulbs for headlights, you can get standard-type bulbs with updated power, or 12 / 25 led bulbs (but these are not road legal); try hids4u if you want excellent quality, although eBay stuff is cheaper if you don't mind decreased longevity etc.

Egr delete needs to be mapped out although i think its more of a problem if you have the blt engine.

I just did the mufflerectomy on my exhaust and tbh i sounds nice from inside car but when i have heard it driven at garage after having jobs done its sounds like a jet taking off, and think I might look into something more custom.

"1990...Time for the guru!" Sorry that's the first thing that came to my mind when reading this thread! But yes h3's are your fog light bulbs :)

Instead of egr delete or mapping it would you can buy the egr blanking plates (you need 2) from darkside for about 5quid.

Has same effect as egr delete but doesn't throw a code/light.

i love that jet noise on idle, i'll be giving mine a mufflerectomy soon :)

Sorry im a bit of a retard when it comes to slang words for a exhaust. Whats a "mufflerectomy"?

Basically a pipe replacing the back box in the exhaust.

Blueflame sounds louder on full chat but un noticable the rest of the time.

With the benefit of having the tailpipe to live in should you ever get evicted.

I loved mine.

Would like something similar for my Audi but am trying to resist

modding and tuning this car, with a view to getting a bike licence, all the kit

and of course a nice bike with the same money instead.

Then my S3 can remain standard as my bike will be a fair bit quicker

and I can get my thrills on that instead.
