fuel flap

Featured Replies

Hi people just wondering if anybody's had a problem with their fuel flap opened it earlier fueled up now won't click back into place and when the button is pushed I do not hear an electronic noise anymore any ideas people ?

could just be stuck, get at the cable link from behind the boot liner, and see if you can get to release back from there.

Cool lucky thing is it's stuck open not shut just want it to work properly will pull it apart tomorrow hopefully weather dependant and have a look thank you. :)

Even if they "stick shut" it can manually be released from inside the boot.  As above, given the lack of the sound when you press the button now, I would suspect the mechanism as simple not sprung back into place.  A bit of oil on it may well be all it needs.

the first day i bought my Octy, i thought the fuel button was just a light for the low fuel warning...

could not figure out how to open it, ended up reading the manual and finding out about the "emergency fuel cap release" behind the boot lining...

slightly embarassing when i had to ask the guy who pulled up along side me in a tan L&K mk1, and told me about Briskoda, how to open the thing normally..
